1) what was the inspiration for the queer character of the journalist? It was really interesting to see two oppressed groups (Indigenous women and queeer people) sort of joining forces.
2) While, watching Song Without a Name I couldn’t help by thinking about two contemporary films about Indigenous women losing their children under different circumstances: Ixcanul and Roma. Did you were aware about these similarities while writing the script/filming? I personalle like Song… better because it showcase more Indigenous womem’s agency
